Registration Essentials
In order to participate in Heritage Open Days, you have to make sure that you meet the Heritage Open Days entry criteria and, of course, register with the Civic Trust in time.
In order for us to fully promote your listing/s, please return the registration form/s to us by 1 May. The deadline for late registration is 1 August.
This page tells you what criteria your event has to fulfill to qualify for registration and also provides you with all components of the registration pack.
Entry Criteria
- Properties included in Heritage Open Days should be of architectural, cultural, historic or social interest.
- You need to provide information to help people understand you building’s history, architectural merit or role in the community. For example, you could offer guided tours, talks, information pamphlets or put on an exhibition.
- All openings must take place on either Thursday 11, Friday 12, Saturday 13, or Sunday 14 September 2008. (Organisers can choose the days they wish to open properties or stage events. You do not need to participate on all four days.) (Please note that HODs does not include the Monday anymore.)
- Admission to properties and participation in activities must be free during the chosen Heritage Open Days opening period.
Properties that do normally open free of charge should either open an additional part of the property or arrange a special activity.
